What are marching auditions? Don’t all students march in the band?

The marching band consists of 2 groups: Varsity and Junior Varsity. Marching auditions determine which students are on Varsity and which are on JV. All students march at the football games. Varsity students march during competitions. JV students attend all competitions to support their fellow band members and to watch other school’s marching shows. This is a great opportunity for the JV team to learn about marching and see what other schools are doing.

During concert season, there are four bands: Concert 2, Concert 1, Symphonic, and Honor. Concert Season auditions take place in the late Spring and determine which class period/block to which your student is assigned.
